Hello My Name Is...
Welcome to my webpage! As the counselor of Burleson Elementary, it is my goal to assist all students so they can achieve academic success as well as to guide them in the development of their interpersonal skills and to ensure their emotional well being.
My job consists on providing classroom guidance lessons to the whole school (from PK to 5th grade), group counseling, individual counseling, and consultation services. I also participate in different school committees and serve as a contact for community programs.
I became the School Counselor at Burleson Elementary in February 2014, but I have been working for El Paso Independent School District since 2004. I have a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Texas at El Paso.
I strongly support the belief that if we educate students who live practicing the “Six Pillars of Character” (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship), we will have a safer, happier society. Therefore, I work with students, teachers, and administrators to achieve that goal.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to refer a child to me for help. You may schedule an appointment between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in person, by phone at (915) 236-8323 / (915) 236-8300 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
