5C Arzola-Muniz, Ruth M

Professor WhiteWelcome to 5th Grade Science

I want to welcome all my parents and students to the 2016-2017 school year.  I am delighted to have your children in my classroom and look forward to motivating them to explore their world through science, technology, engineering and mathematics. As their teacher I will provide your children with a nurturing and challenging learning environment that will expand their interest and curiosity about science. I will work to create an educational partnership with you and your children that will foster determination, and passion for knowledge.

I am a second generation native El Pasoan. Both my parents were raised in the south side of El Paso and are proud Bowie Bears. I come from a family that holds the values of tradition, loyalty and respect in great esteem. These values have allowed me to accomplish my goal of becoming a teacher.

I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso (Picks Up!) in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies 4-8 Generalist.  I began my educational career with El Paso Independent School District as a substitute teacher in 2004. I have been teaching fifth grade for 8 years and still going strong.

I believe each student has the potential to learn and succeed given the opportunity to expand their horizons. In the classroom students need to feel safe and comfortable in order to excel in their academic journey.

If you have any concerns or just want to stop by to say hello my conference time is from
