2A Tupper, Estela

Mrs. TupperWelcome. My name is Mrs. Tupper. I am a graduate of Jefferson High School, University of Texas at El Paso, and the University of Phoenix. I have been teaching for 32 years. In that time, I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades. I have also been a literacy coach and a Texas Reading First Coach. I am very excited to have your child in my class this year. Second grade is a critical grade for all students. The road ahead is long, but beautiful and exciting.  I’m sure that with your cooperation and your child’s best effort, we can all achieve great things.

In 2nd Grade students will be learning to become better readers and write with more fluency and accuracy. They will learn to answer basic addition/subtraction facts with automaticity. In science they will become more confident investigators using inquiry skills to do investigations. Social Studies will introduce them to maps and world cultures, and Texas symbols.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. My conference time is from 9:45-10:30 a.m. daily. Please call the school at 236-8300 or email me at egjurado@episd.org to schedule a conference.

Thank you,
Mrs. Tupper
